The GromMom’s Swanson Boys
Our family moved to Hawaii eleven years ago for my husband Dave’s medical residency training. We had one son, and I was eight months pregnant with my second son. Since then, we’ve had three more boys, and have fallen in love with Hawaii in every way. We think this is the greatest place to raise kids, and we enjoy everything the island has to offer. The lifestyle is so laid back and positive, and the surfing and skating scene seems to be what our boys are most drawn to. Since we home school we are very involved in all that our boys do, and we love to be right by their side as they learn, grow, and accomplish many goals in their athletic pursuits. Two of the boys are competitive surfers, and we have a lot of fun chasing the waves and being a part of that scene. Living in the country on the North Shore of Oahu, we also have a lot of opportunities to learn about nature, and taking care of this beautiful island God has allowed us to live on.
Our boys spend a lot of their time in board shorts and t-shirts, yet they each have a style uniquely their own. They love to get a little dressed up now and then, and they always feel super cool when they’re sporting their Up & Riding gear. They love to put together a clean look, with some edgy touches–bright color, or a fun graphic. They’re also stoked on fun hats, sunglasses, and other accessories. Playful socks and just the right skate shoes finish their look. They find all of their favorite things at Up & Riding– It represents everything about the lifestyle that they love. We love it too because we can get everything they need in one place. Even our two-year old can be style’n when we shop at Up & Riding!
